Manx Motors Inc. is a relatively new corporation, started by Brian and Connie Sims
who have been classic British motorcycle and automobile hobbyists for years, (Brian
and Connie honeymooned on a 1974 Norton Commando).They have been active in the Detroit
Triumph Sportscar Club (DTSC) for over a decade, and Brian has served in various
board and officer positions during that period.
Connie spent several years as the “Book Service Manager” for the Vintage Triumph
Register. They own many classic British (and one newer) motorcycles and two classic
British sports cars which they restored; a 1961 Triumph TR3A and a 1974 TVR 2500M.
Brian has been in the motor and bike industry all his working life, and is well known
for British motorcycle repair in the Southeast Michigan area. He has been involved
with these motorcycles for over thirty years and currently owns over twenty classic
British motorcycles. Together with his father, Len Sims, he has repaired, serviced
and restored these motorcycles over the years.
Brian also raced one of his his Triumph Tridents in vintage/classic classes many
Some years ago Brian started assisting the well known Don Ensley, at English Motors.
Don’s retirement left a gap in maintaining British vehicles that Brian is able to
fill. The extra knowledge gained under Don’s expert eye, along with his personal
projects, has provided Brian with the necessary experience, and knowledge, to go
with the skills he already had, to repair and service many models of British classic
